Bohemian art glass jardiniere bowl is a very impressive centerpiece. The bowl is blown of cased glass. Interior is opaque white and the exterior is pink. The rim on the bowl has what I consider a "scissor" hand cut edge, as no two points are a like. The shape of the bowl has a four part "melon-lobed" sections that protrudes. Applied handles and stylized footed branch to serve as the base is amber coloured glass with multiple thorns through out. Just above the amber branches that serve as the footed base, is two translucent green leaves on each branch. Only on one side of the bowl, there is a spray of Foxglove flowers and buds. The flowers have three layers of coloured glass. Translucent pink interior layer, with a inner core layer of white opaque, and the exterior is a translucent amber. Polished pontil on the bottom of the bowl.
Early Loetz Production. Check out Kai Hasselbach's research at Loetz.com for more information on applied motifs.
6-1/2" tall.
The rim is 8" diameter and the footed base is 8" diameter.
Handle to handle is 10-1/2" wide.
Mid section of the bowl is over 9" wide at best.
Gorgeous piece and in Excellent condition! Amazing they're are no chips. I love it!!!
Hi yah, Nuts!! Thank you for the wonderful compliment with love. Believe it or not, if you look at the second pic, there is a chip on the rim of the second flower and the same flower has a hairline. Very forgiving, imo. :
Very nice......a touch "dainty" for me, but very nice :-)

Hi, Kerry. I would agree "dainty" is a good fit coming from you. lol Flattered as ever to hear you say it's very nice. Thank you!! Good to see you today on CW, btw. Hope you're doing great. :)
Thank you very much, NB. (repeat 7 times with a big grin) lol I know, I know... my title shows I'm being a "key word" fanatic. Hopefully, I'll come up in a CW search seven different ways.
Hi Thomas. :) Thanks, so much for stopping by and noticing how much I do love flowers. A glass garden is much safer for me to grow than the real thing I can assure you!
very nice............
The foxgloves are perfect and I have not seen them in glass before! I love it.
