This grayish tinted covered compote is a beautiful piece.
It feels and looks like flint glass. Both pieces have the star pattern, but the lid has bars and the bowl has mitered diamonds. Haven't been able to identify the pattern yet. 11 /1/2" tall. plain foot and a dropped knob stem.
The lid fits perfectly on the bowl. Anyone have an idea of the age pattern or maker? The third picture is looking inside the lid.

check with black light in dark room; EAPG will have a faint green glow from the manganese content. This does look to be a marriage of parts to me. The top is Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton #17 'Six Panel Fine Cut' c1890. The closest match I see for the bottom is U.S. Glass #15025 'Diamond Waffle' c1893; but can't locate a similar compote to confirm, and the cake stand has a different pedestal and foot.

Thanks TallCakes. Definitely a marriage, I found the compote complete in the Six Panel Fine Cut. The bottom looks older because of the plain foot and knob stem. Just guessing. I will keep looking
