    I just discovered your site today.

    I have these two wood carving figures, said to have been brought over from the war by her husband. By her age, possibly the Korean War or Viet Nam.
    Each Figure is approximately 6" Each one has a peg on the bottom to fit into the wood block base. The water boys buckets, lid, & sticks are removable, but the other figure carrying the bundled wood does not have removable parts as they are strung onto his back.
    Wondering if there would be any special name for these, or if the way they are carved bares any clue as to when and who made them.
