This exquisite centre bowl, showing a fantastic sea scenery, was made by the French artist Clement Massier with two nymphes designed by the Swiss sculptor James Vibert at the end of the 19.th century. It shows a vibrant copper red ground irisation with a bronce golden metallic surface coverage, giving the impression of waves sparkling in the sunshine. The signed bowl is about 20 cm high and 25x40 cm large. A similar centre piece is exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum NY and another example was presented at CW by the member 'Fledermaus'.
