      Don't know much about Middle Eastern but I don't associate figures with it, mostly geometric decor. What that floral image brings to mind, and this is just a wild shot in the dark, is a stylized opium poppy. Perhaps this is Afghani or somewhere in that region?

      It looks Persian to me. I am going to repost a tile block I posted a while ago, looking for some info -- the faces are very similar as are the lines. Really lovely. Are there three nobs with holes near the top?
