i get luck to pick up this rare item awarded by a second price of one of the 8 contest organised by VICTOR PROUVE and the RAMBERVILLERS and ADT FRERES factories. FOR "l'ecole de nancy" in 1905, to 1906.
the box was designed by EUGENE WINDECK, he worked for emile gallé as engraver at gallé workshops, and get stated here in 1895 when gallé opened his own factory in nancy. after then he created a studio in association with paul nicolas, paul mercier and emile villermaux " graveux réunis " "united engravers" in paul nicolas' house at the 64 RUE DE LA REPUBLIQUE IN NANCY. this studio used blank furnished by saint louis glassworks. this association get finished circa 1923.
this box was produced in ADT FRERES factory in PONT-A-MOUSSON, a leading factory of paper maché items until the19th century.
