Bought in a junk shop in France. Googled Lenzkirch and found it's a well known make but mostly known for mantel and wall clocks. Does anyone know anything about this little portable alarm clock? 2.5" square front, 1.75" deep. Thanks in advance for any info.

      Hi,
Lenzkirsch is a German manufacturer as you probably know, and your clock was likely made around 1900-1920. A nice find!

Hi Caroline, love your little guy, he screams in personality. I would agree early 20th century. Clocks, especially travel alarms and alarm clocks, number well over a hundred in my home. I was able to get my grandfathers Boliva travel alarm clock after he passed, wound it up and folded it closed, then put it in the baby bed to help my 1 1/2 year old son to go to sleep. That was 25 yrs. ago and I've been hooked on them since. I rarely passed one that I did not buy. I set a limit to $25 and spent over that amount a few times, $43 was the highest ever, a late 60's early 70's Cat in the Hat nightstand alarm. I hope to get it posted soon. I have a USA made small square early 1900's very similar to yours but the back does not hinge open like yours. I love all clocks and your find would have been in my hands if I would have been there before you. Unless it was priced over $25, but I would have probably went up to $35? I really like it and hope you enjoy buying other similar clocks and collecting them. I believe it is a good sign of character and investing. Love to hear how much the little guy cost you. I am going to guess around $22 US?
      thanks,
      Danny
