We were wondering if anyone could give us some information about this coke ice chest. It had a galvanized double insert with a drain on the bottom. It is not a cooler just a chest to keep drinks cold.

We wanted to know what era it is from and an approximate value. We would like to restore it but were thinking about making signs out of it possibly.

    Thanks!

Looks like an ice that has been made out of an old 1940's cooler. Bottlers (and others) would take damaged coolers and make them into things like this for the purpose of using them at an outdoor ball game or something similar. Value is very little (nothing) in this condition and not very much when restored. But I will say there are a lot of ignorant folks out there paying stupid money for fake items on ebay . . . so you may be able to get more than I think for it! Good luck!
