A well made Brookfield design. This was No 43 in their 1912 catalog. CD 145 refers to an insulator of this size and shape. This one is also called a Beehive.
The No. 43 has a "B" on the skirt and the shop number with the dot embossed on top. Shop #8 made this one which was one of the shops known for making this insulator .
I may have a little problem here on my ID. I may need some help from SpiritBear once yet again.

When you look for a CD number, you can cross-ref it with the Hemingray database. All insulators of a particular CD look similar/same to each other beyond embossing/colour.
Yours can only be dated prior to Brookfield's closing, as at least Hemingray made this style between the 1880s and 1930s, mostly around 1900ish.
As yours is better made, I'd say it was from the early 1900s, before they got really close to closing their doors. Their later products are often quite 'crude', which likely contributed to their end. But, because near their end they often began only using the B, I'd put yours into the 1910s. The catalog date may be correct for this one.
Somewhere I have two Brookfield ones. One is double B, the other single B.
Thanks still yet again SpiritBear. This one is not quite matching up with the 1912 model as the B is a bit too high, should be about half an inch lower. I found a site with info on it and wrote it down and misplaced the paper which had info on a few other items I have to post.

This is a beautiful insulator. I am guessing the color is quite common.
I was at a yard sale today and had a chance to pick up about 10 of these at a buck each. Most were green but there was also a white and a purple. Very nice collectibles.
