i was surprised to find this at Goodwill yesterday. i never find these plates commemorating anything mexican! i don't know who the other person is on this plate. do you? the guy on the left is Porfirio Diaz who was president of Mexico 1876 to 1911! can you imagine?! he precipitated the mexican revolution by impoverishing the rural agricultural class. in his last election, he imprisoned the other candidate, and then fled to paris, where he died in exile.
is there a category for commemorative plates?
Too bad he didn't build a wall around his mansion to keep out the peasant criminals....... Oh, wait, HE was the criminal!..... lol..... [;>)))

The man in the right is Benito Juarez. You dont have interest on sale this plate? Iam collector of mexican historical items
