These are a wonderful pair of rare Bernard Instone earrings. They have been beautifully made as only in my opinion Bernard Instones, does. The stud is made with small silver leaves. There are two separate drops with high domed rose agate stones on frames with silver covered leaves. The back as usual as Bernard Instone's neat and tidy finish. They were made approx 1930s and have 2 1/2 inch drop, unfortunately no markings. I was very fortunate to have bought these earrings, I'm extremely happy with them.
    Many thanks for looking

Judy I have been looking at Instone jewellery since Jean starting posting her beautiful pieces, but as her collection gets more and more special I want more and more of it. Where to start? A simple brooch? Probably all I could afford on my cheap jewellery budget lol.

Jean these are lovely. Lovely lovely lovely.

Hi Karen.....Jean does have the most amazing pieces doesn't she!!!!! We can only live in hope .....but would have to be a bargain price for both of us I think lol.

Hi Karen and Judy, first of all thanks for both your wonderful comments. These earrings were bought from a collector, but if you troll the net you can come across even now some wonderful pieces of Instones work, at bargain prices. Its knowing what is his work, of course that is the key, lol. Kyra as said before you may come across for example bad photos and if you just happen to know who the piece belongs to even better. Another thing is that Jewels1900 and myself think he made jewellery for Shipton and co, I think in his later years. Happy hunting.

Hi Jean....thanks...love your reply!!! As always with everything we seriously buy, I think it would be best to have an idea of what we are looking for LOL ....which probably is the hard part.....but then we never know what is just around the corner do we!!! Plus I don't really target pieces.....I just scroll through until something jumps out and says "pick me" and then I have a go!!!
But I will keep looking at yours for sure....and drooling!!!!

      Hi Judy,
I also scroll to see if there is anything that catches my eyes, I think it's a good way, also you might just get lucky. I do spend many hours trying to track down Bernard Instones pieces. :-)
