Ellwood steel fencing was produced by the American Steel & Wire Company which evolved into US Steel shortly after 1900. The first photo of a 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Poster has unique qualities. Looked at from different angles the fence wire comes to life. The ink must reflect the light. The Match Safe and Trivet were popular advertising samples. The last photo is a Post Card. I am impressed with the use of color advertising over a hundred years ago.

September 2017 - The first photo won first place just recently at the State Fair of Texas in the advertising category of the Hobby Collections in the Creative Arts Division.

What does the other side of the trivet look like? That is the bottom, right? I see the little feet all around.

Good eye Celiene. The other side of the trivet is blank (cruddy looking from use).

The Ellwood Fence poster is really an eye catcher. The fence wire glints when you move the card around.
