Found at the thrift, this Murano Glass Pendant. Is there any way to tell if a piece is authentic ? It measures about 2 1/2".

Might be, if it had a sticker on it once upon a time...

So hard to tell these days Ken. China produces some beautiful glass pendants.
Slide your fingers across the glass - if it feels very slippery it is probably Chinese. If it just feels like glass, maybe not. For some reason, and it may be to do with the sand they use, Chinese glass tends to feel a bit greasy.

These abstract pendants and bold rings are really popular right now.

It very well could be Murano Ken. The example in Ivonne's link is the same in shape, but with these pieces, it's real hard to pin down to Murano specificly. Do the quality and beautiful decoration, I would think Murano.

I have 2 necklaces & a bracelet that have pendants very similar to this one. Purchased them about 10 yrs ago from a local boutique. Very nice & heavy glass pieces, but pretty sure ones I have were brand new when purchased. I'll post pics of mine to compare :)
