i found this in an old basket of goodies - including the clamshell i posted. This was in 3 pieces so i glued it to the best of my abilities. i think it looks pretty cool! there are collectors of old Japanese plastic. i think this is probably Japanese.

Nice item. The subject matter is great.
These were so popular that my antique Asian collector book has a chapter just for them, titled Japanese celluloid figurines. Pre 1950. I have also owned several, the open clam shell with the pond and wheel. Found at a trift store. ;-)
