Hi looking for assistance with this framed stone slab . Was wanting to identify the stone itself and the origin from where it may come from , as well as what the calligraphy reads . The stone is pink and black marbled ; I have not removed it from the 8 1/2 " square frame so I don't know exactly the size or dimensions of the stone itself .
I have had this piece for a few years now , it was a thrift store purchase for $5 and I display it on a end table in my home ; have had lots of inquiry about what it is and where it is from and unable to give information on it .

      Title: Verdant Dense Forest
      Date: 2000

Many of these stones came from Dali, China. This may or may not have come from there. It is Chinese.
