Small brass badge with a centre Scottish Thistle. Honi soit qui mal y pense this is the latin for the motto of order of The Garter and its marked on this brass badge.
In English it reads shame on him who thinks evil of it. I believe it was a Military Cap Badge but I shall put on a walking stick.
