My Great Grandmother gave this to my mother at least 68 years ago. No idea where she got it or how long she had it. We are not sure what the stone hanging at the bottom is. Not sure what the cameo is made of. If anyone has any ideas would love to hear them.

Looks Art Deco or Art Nouveau, but the photo is blurry. Can you provide a clearer photo? Also if that's the original chain, a picture of the whole chain would help. A photo of the reverse. And a photo of the cameo from the side as close as possible.
Yes, please post more photos that are close up and in focus, no flash; right now the pendant in that lonely picture looks very much like a modern reproduction.
I will take more pictures next time I go to Mom's. Not sure if chain is original or not. May be a week or so before I get back to her place. Thanks@
Yes, it does appear in the photo to be costume jewelry. The shape of the links in the chain is typical of costume necklaces. The cameo may simply be made of molded plastic, because it doesn't look to have been carved. Clearer photos may tell the tale. Look everywhere on the piece for any marks, too.
Whatever it is, its beautiful, plus the precious family ties and memories!
