a new masterpiece followed me froma professional flea for a bargain price

"is a murano vase sir.. " ok....... how much? -)

so this is my second auguste jean piece of glass, probably circa1880 -1885
in amethyst colour.

H 13 cm

    Perhaps change the 1180 to 1880? I was excited to see an 1180 piece of glass?

    Love the colour and the shape, beautiful. Off I go to find out more about Auguste Jean.

    Do you own the turquoise piece also, now that would look amazing in my glass collection! I'm just not sure about the 'legs' on both pieces - is it blasphemy to dislike something on these pieces?

    hmm not blasphemy...the legs are kind of auguste jean signature, and yes both are mine-)

    mine is without signature, the enameled one is signed on the pontil in red A.JEAN
    HE also signed the vases in some "pastillage" applied glass stamped a.jean.
