Does anyone know the possible origin or maker of this vase? The colour of the vase changes from a soft coffee/latte colour to golden honey/amber depending on the light. It is opaque white inside and stands approx. 20cm tall and 8cm wide at the opening. The glass is quite heavy. It looks Scandinavian to me, but could also be a Japanese copy?

I think it's a Chinese copy Lynn. The change in colour is from the casing - the internal vase is white glass and the amber casing is darker where it is thicker.

Thanks racer4four. I've found some similar ones online that were made in Japan and also some others made in Poland that were imported into the UK by Reducta. I just found out that the lady I purchased the vase from came to Australia from Belarus in the 1960's and that a number of her 'special' household belongings were collected on trips back to Poland. I'm inclined therefore to think it may be Polish?
