My coin bracelet that I like much and wear often. I have it for years now. It fits my wrist perfectly, also it is very user-friendly and cozy and I dont need help with the clasp. Someone did a good job to put all these coins together!
The coins are austrian Schillings (5 Schilling), such coins were manufactured from 1960 to 1998 according to Wikipedia. They were manufactured from Cupronickel after 1968, but from silver between 1960 and 1968, so at least some of the coins are from silver (.640) because of the date.

Very interesting and unique. I bet those are austrian Lipizzaner horses. Coin jewelry has been popular in several parts of the world. I have a Coin brooch from 1800's posted in my collection. I think you can search "coinjewelry" on CW and see more examples.

Search "coin jewelry" and "love token" and you will see more coin jewelry. But I don't think your bracelet fall under the category of love token. I think yours was made as a tourist memory piece or made for someone who loved Lipizzaner horses. Very nice it is.

Thank you a lot Elisabethan! What an interesting brooch you have there! Thank you for sharing! Its beautiful. I wonder what the family story was, unfortunately we will probably never know.
Yes I agree - someone maybe loved the horse!

I visit Vienna from time to time, but I dont think I will visit the show. It seems to me to be cruel to the animals - maybe I am wrong though and the horses love the dance, what do I know, city girl.
