Hi fleafinder, yes I recognise the mark, I do find dating items a bit of a problem because I see Chinese porcelain items for auction on sites like Sotheby's and Christie's and they look almost ne apart from some firing marks and maybe a couple of iron oxide coming through, its a very difficult area, we I find it difficult but I am just a novice, how's this in Singapore?

for me i do alot more self research online and learning from others there are a few asian items experts here on CW if you take the time to notice and i learn alot more from them than anywhere else. I learnt antiquing the hard way too after i was cheated at auction houses locally that claimed the items were geniune and issue certificates of authenticity but turn out the cert is fake too. And overseas too where the so called jade/dzi beads "expert" is probably some retired actor.

So usually antiquers here go to well known antique shops with good reviews or use their connections with these antique shops to acquire stuff.by the way im still learning too:)

      my respect on reading davison

extually i don,t know this type of vase
i think it is quite new the artemis IMO not xanghi revival
i miss small kiln ruptures on the bottom
and my eyes are too bad to see if it is a template , it probably is

you are on the good track , but i think this low on value
