The black Crayola crayon was my favorite. :-))) That explains my attraction to this object.
I saw this planter last week on the shelf with an array of black decorations. This was by far the prettiest. I had to soak the planter in vinegar for an entire day to get rid of the calcium residue, and 99% is gone. I haven't before found one with the bottom glazed and sealed. I think that's a sign of quality. No marks at all - naturally!
I don't know if it's contemporary or vintage. I looked around on the web but didn't find anything helpful, as there are relatively few of these around.
I'll wait for the experts :-))))
