Friedrich Gauermann was an Austrian painter (Yes, this is an original). This particular painting was made in 1838 but I do not know the title yet. Just took some not so good pictures on the way out of my clients home. What I am curious about is if anyone knows whether the painting is part of a series. I will have better pictures this coming Thursday and hopefully find out the painting title.

Know it can't be so, but looks incredibly like a cannon barrel being pulled out of the ground.
Pretty sure it is a Cannon Barrel. The painting is really gorgeous, these pics are horrid :( Hellooooo Brunswick :) I an near O'Hare, have not been to Peoria yet :P

Yeah, hard to plow those fields with cannon barrels sticking up everywhere ! LOL ! That's still what it looks like to me.
Further back top right there are what appears to be infantry men which is why I think it is a cannon Barrel.
You can's see them really because I took such crappy pic's in a hurry..
So I'm not crazy ? That will disillusion a lot of people ! LOL !
