This is my interesting find for today. I discovered that, after taking the bracelet to Geri, this is made of copper which has been "aged". I wonder if this is a one-off.

kyra - seems to be too strong to be alpacca. It's almost like flexible steel. I've never seen a piece of jewelry like this, so nothing to use for comparison. I'll take it to Geri tomorrow - maybe she's seen something like this before.
It may be one of those stainless steel blanks that sell in craft stores with added crafts components, a very pleasing result.

davyd286 - that is definitely a possibility. I searched the web but found nothing that looks like this bracelet. Just a necklace made in the form of ivy leaves. Whoever made this bracelet did a bang up job. It's gorgeous.

Ms.CrystalShip - I live in the southern tip of the Netherlands. There are about 15 thrift shops in vicinity of my house - within a half hour's drive. The people who work in these shops like to fancy themselves savvy to the old and valuable but, fortunately for me, that's not always the case here.
