I thought I heard part of this story a couple years ago. I believe I saw a small airplane just like the one in the last photo. This was by auction, somewhere in the states, but I did not save the link.

Phil, yes, after Larry passed away, then Lucille passed away, my family did not understand the historical significance of the p-39 airacobra brooches and placed them with SOTHEBY'S NEW YORK ----- BUT ----- when I started digging, and learning who had them made and where they came from, and why they were made and given to LARRY BELL of BELL AIRCRAFT ---- well ---- they were pulled out of SOTHEBY'S and went back in the bank vaults. These items are not for sale. ----- For about 3 years I have worked with museums in many countries, the RAF MUSEUM in London, the SMITHSONIAN, the LAWRENCE DALE BELL MUSEUM, ---- the list is very long ---- all countries --- anyway --- I am collecting every bit of information, people, places, reasons. etc.---- the historical aspects. --- and --- I am still searching. It is very difficult ---- these items were "secret", hidden from the public, ---- and ---- everyone who was involved are now passed away. It is a very, very long and involved story, involving the key players in WORLD WAR 2, the development of aviation, as we know it today. ---- well ---- it boils down to ---- these two items and other items -- have never been offered for sale. ------ Thanks for your help --- I used to go fishing in CANADA ----- Wayne Hugh Long......
