    Lauterjung and Co. Solingen (Tiger)

Lauterjung & Sohn Solingen ~ c 1769-present ~ Founded in 1769 when some members of the Lauterjung family started the PUMA-WERK factory...

this is a really cool old ww1 era rigging knife.... these things were always built out of the best possible materials available. and that's world wide, not just Solingen.

these tigers were certainly no exception. they built all kinds of war issued items , like hj knives and s.a daggers. I haven't seen but a few ever pictured.
some of the price tags ive seen on the tiger made items are through the roof. and deservedly so...... the marlin spike locks solid as steel and the scales are in exceptional original condition. ... im impressed !

btw, ron... this 1 might only be 90ish . I doubt its over 100, but still think it deserves antique status.

Great, old rigger, Andy. I've been trying for years to win an old U.S., German or English rigger on eBay, but the bidding has always gone way beyond what I can afford or am willing to pay for one. Lucky dawg, you! [;>)

even though the tiger production stopped according to this finding, there are tiger Solingen hj youth knives that are ww2 marked from tiger. those knives were manufactured before the war and sold after production had stopped. apparently.
