I am not too sure but I believe these earrings are Native American sterling silver inlay earrings. The problem is, most of the dangles are missing. I was thinking of removing all of them. Then I was thinking to take dangles off a pair of earrings I don't like and complete this pair. Then I was thinking to try my luck at the craft store....

Any ideas about what to do? These earrings have been sitting in one of my boxes for a very long time:(

    Thanks for looking:)

These are really pretty! I take it there are no marks on the reverse side. If they were mine, I'd just remove those few dangly bits and hang one bead per hole from silver wire bent into an S shape. Any color that corresponds with a color in the inlay.

I would take all dangles off and just wear them plain!! The colour in the centre would look lovely alone!!

      Love these!
Both Bonnie and Judy ideas are convenient for fixing the issue, it only depends of your taste.

These Zuni (or Zuni style) earrings were meant to have dangles. If you can't find the right stone beads, use several plain silver bugle or tube beads (the type called "liquid silver") for each dangle or alternate with the original ones, that would fit the aesthetics. Another option would be to use flattened silver pins, like in this example: https://www.etsy.com/listing/465558378/zuni-opal-inlay-sterling-silver-earrings?ref=shop_home_active_7

I just came across your post while browsing.
I have the matching necklace....exact in every detail!
The only marking is the word “sterling”.
Mine came from a Honolulu store at Ala Moana shopping center called Paniolo (or maybe Paniolo Trading Co.). “ Paniolo” is the Hawaiian word for “cowboy”. The store sold Western wear such as boots, hats, clothing...
My necklace was bought around 1992.

It has lost one of the dangling parts also but I wear it as is.
