Collectors Weekly is such a great website, I can learn a lot about vintage and antique items. One of the many beautiful things which sparked my interest were Pali's brass marcasite jewellery - delicate pieces decorated with typical dainty flowers. Now I just love those flowers with slim, pointy petals. Similar pieces are usually tagged as a Czech filigree or Art Deco jewellery on the net, some websites call them Art Nouveau - so much confusion about it.
This brass necklace isn't marcasite, it's decorated with rhinestones, but equally beautiful. I was so pleased to find it today on my usual charity shop run, and it was only £0.99!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, when I spotted it.
I think the necklace was silver plated, most of the plating already worn off. It was made probably between 1900-1940. Any info or thoughts are appreciated. Thank you for stopping by!!! :)
