I inherited a pack of old family letters about 40 years ago, all in German, and just learned in the last couple of years that some were from the Fahrner family. I hadn't known a single thing about Fahrner jewelry, but since learning more, I have recently won a few pieces on e-bay. So I have letters from both Theodor Fahrner Senior (to his brother Fritz who had immigrated, and was my great grandfather) and also from Theo Junior, the Fahrner who really developed the jewelry business. These are pictures of a couple of my pieces, with letters to Fritz. The black edged ones from 1883 are announcements from Theo Junior about his father's death. I have been in correspondence with the Pforzheim Jewelry Museum about (1) getting help with translations (Theo Senior had terrible handwriting !!) and (2) gifting them to the museum for best preservation. Hoping they will be interested. This has been fun. I realize my pieces are probably all from the 1930's, well after the Fahrners had left the business that kept their name, but it is still fun to think of this family connection !
