This a real "treasure" chest and something that you could imagine aboard a pirate ship!
All of the hardware is original cast iron with the protective black japanning removed and iron polished with a dremel. The sheet iron was refreshed using a black walnut stain.

This trunk is not for sale and is my office being used to hold hanging file folders on the bottom and office desktop type stuff; pens, staplers, tape dispensers, etc etc
I read the restrictions on the site which is why I posted this trunk. Thank you for your kind compliments I will pass them onto my 17 yo daughter who now does all of our restorations from selecting the trunks to restore, the actual restoration, to taking the photographs and technical/feature write ups. BTW, the trunk I posted was the very first trunk I ever restored. M
