This little guy is so cute! he has a hole for a month and another hole in the middle of his back. he has textured fur and a nice enamel. he's only about 2" long and 1" tall - so very small. i have no idea what he is or where he is from, but i'm going to guess Chinese. any idea?

cute ! It is scratching an ear with the one foot , looks more like a cat or weasel though in the face .

      Possibly a netsuke...?

Ty lovelypat and efes! I'm not sure but it sure is tiny. The holes must be a clue. Any other ideas?

someone suggested that this is a water dropper rather than a netsuke. it makes sense to me!
