Dia de los Muertos (Nov 2) is a day for remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed away. In the Mexican culture it is a very popular holiday that has blended perfectly with the Halloween festivities here in Southern California.

These platters are both 14" diameter hand-painted terra cotta and give only a small idea of the variety of "Day of the Dead" material available. The first is unsigned; the second, signed A. Ramos Lucano, a member of the well-known Mexican folk artist Lucano family.
