Pretty sure it's a beetle.
2 & 3/4" wide, 2" tall! Ruby eyes. Marked SNK. (Made in Korea?) The large cabochon is molded plastic with AB sequins embedded in it that gives the illusion of opal or amber when it has water in it. Silvertone metal. Small round Spring Green-hued AB Rhinestones & Green square rhinestones set in illusion marcasite metal. Fantastic! Not one gem missing!
Would this be considered a jelly-belly?

True jelly bellies were produced by Trifari, copied far and wide, now any brooch with a cabochon body is called a jelly belly. What a beautiful brooch, Celiene! :)
