    This is a rather large pendant. It is hollow and still weights over 20 grams. The pendant is unmarked but looks to me like it could be Mexican. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks a lot for your comment, Mary. I also think that the bale is not typical for Mexican pendants. The beaded border could indicate a variety of regions. At one point I even thought it could be Native American, but once again, the bale doesn't match. I have checked images on line but not from India... I will look into it.
      The pendant came with an unusual chain. I should have taken a pic of it. It had a modern sterling lobster clasps soldered to a short sterling chain, soldered to a long and roughly made chain made of a silvery metal. I guess the mystery widens...

      I added the chain the pendant came with. It is rather unusual.
