    This was my grandmother's chest. I didn't realize she owned it until my uncle decided to auction off all her belongings so I bought it. Unfortunately, she has dementia and is unable to give me much information about how old it is or how she came into possession of it. I would really like to date it somehow. It looks like the original lining that has faded. Thank you!

      Looks like an early 1900's dome top trunk. Great to have the original interior tray as most often they are missing. Many companies made this style of trunk at the time so without a label hard to know who would have made it. Nice family heirloom -- thanks for the post and welcome to Collector's Weekly.
