These coins were in use during the tenure of both the father and the son Foulques, Comte d' Anjou... Struck between 1069-1129 AD. Obv: small cross Pattée with Alpha & Omega surrounded by "+FVLCO COMES" legend. Rev: Fulk monogram with the legend "+VRBS AHDEGAVIS" legend. Roberts 4114. Fulk V (1082/92-1143 AD), count of Anjou, was king of Jerusalem from 1131 to 1143. He was the father of Geoffrey Plantagenet and grandfather of Henry II of England. Fulk V is my 28th great-grandfather, so this coin has special meaning to me apart from just the love of history!
