I call these 1960's Hippie Patched Denim Jeans the "Draft Dodger Blues", because they were found north of the border where many of the Vietnam era draft dodgers fled. What I particularly love about these is the WWII U.S. Army Air Force patch - one can easily assume that belonged to his father - on the hip. A political statement no doubt. Another interesting variance from others of these I have acquired - is the wildlife motif: birds & ducks & ducks & birds. I wonder aloud if that is more from a feeling of him being hunted than a love of Canadian wildlife... Would have loved to have spoken with the original owner to see if I am right.
