I believe these are both Dorothy Thorpe silver fade. First set has ice bucket and eight roly poly glasses. Second set is called a Tricorn Silver Fade, with an ice bucket and 6 bowls shaped in an unusual geometric triangle.

      hi
I have just been given a set of (I guess) silver fade glasses and ice bucket. The 8 Glasses are about 7in high and has a bucket in middle. What era is this from? and what are they called -- no markings. The friend who gave to me said it was from her mom's stuff and was from their 25th anniv from about 1970? do you have any info or a suggestion for me to search?

Pat, that date seems to be right on. My mother received a set like this (all clear) for her wedding in 1968

Silver Fade was made by Silver Queen in New York.
      Not a Thorpe design
