I found this really nice grandfather clock at an estate sale. It keeps perfect time. I can't seem to find any info on it or a name or label anywhere. Does anyone out there know when this was made or manufacturer?

This was posted three months ago, so don't know if you're still checking in. The design on this clock is a wee bit art deco-ish? But lovely nonetheless.

There has to be a name or serial number, marked somewhere - unless....this is a homemade clock? (I used to know someone who made Grandfather and Grandmother clocks.) But.....the wood on the front of the clock is so very well made - the shape on the top of the face and down the sides is gorgeous.

I'm sure you've taken the back off and searched for any maker's clues, also the front should open as well.

I am certainly no clock expert, but I do think this is a special clock - I hope, in the CW community, there is a clock specialist that could take a look at this posting and perhaps provide more help.
