This vase was produced in the United States by Dugan around 1906-1907. It is from the line they called "Venetian". The gourd shape was popular in the arts and crafts era. It stands about 4.5" tall and is about 3.5" in diameter. The light pink base glass is rolled in gold and white frit and then blown into a mold producing the ribbed effect. At one time, these were commonly confused with Czech glass, but now we know better. Dugan would later become Diamond Glass and would manufacture a popular line of carnival glass..
