if anyone can help me with this lovely little music / automated box by T.H.Filmer & Son's. 1835-1860
THE BOX HAS A WINDER ON THE REAR
THE BOX HAS A ROUND START / STOP PIN ON THE SIDE
THE DOLL ACTUALLY MOVES WITH THE SOUND
THE BOX HAS A BRASS PLAQUE
THE BOX HAS A ENGRAVED / STAMP / ETCHING UNDERNEATH
Measurements are approx
H 17 Inches
W 11.5 Inches
D 8.5 Inches
any information would be great.
I bought it at an auction, it does not open and I really do not want to force it open.
I have the feeling that it was never intended for sale and was laid upon the furniture in the window in Oxford st. London at the shop maybe not...??????
