    I found this little guy a while back. I believe he is made from jade. Does anyone have any knowledge as to age or any other info?

      I'm pretty sure that's soapstone, not jade.

      I'll try to see if I can find out anything. It's actually a lot darker than pic shows.

      Can you adjust the color in your pc? That would make a difference.

      Are there no marks anywhere?

      There are no marks on bottom. You are probably right about it being soapstone-I did a scratch test on bottom and it did leave a scratch.

      I inquired with a soapstone carver as to how to repair some faint scratches on a soapstone carving I have. Thinking I could do it myself, he kinda chuckled at my question and replied that 'there are 7 different techniques that could be used to do the repair work' and that he'd 'have to have a look'. Also apparently, soapstone carving can be hard on the health if certain precautions aren't adhered to depending on the stone. I really like your horse.
