We got this cool Zephyr sign from a dear friend of ours in Omaha NE, the great Andy Anderson of Gas Pump Heaven on our way to Hershey PA to attend the swap meet. Andy had just had a few big signs stolen off the wall of his building the week before we arrived and he decided to take all the signs down and I happened to be in the right place at the right time and bought all he had available. Andy and his wonderful wife Diane are great people and produce awesome parts for those of us in the gas pump and sign hobby. We feel honored to know them. It's a great hobby with great people involved at many levels. As a side note, Zephry gas began in 1939 and this design with the "speed lines" began in the early 50s. Zephyr is still in business in the Midwest. I love America and its gas/oil history. Happy New Year to all!!!

U might already know, but the "fast" Zephyr signs began in the early 50s and ended in the early 60s. Sad to see the speed leave the Company! These guys had about 500 Stations at one point and are down to a couple of dozen I hear. The parent Company started in the 1880s making grease and gas in the late 30s. This is a lucrative buz that has a high mortality rate & the Big fish always eat the little fish eventually.
