Here's a German photochrome, probably early 1900s (although Nenke & Ostermaier of Dresden were making these earlier.)
While not as nice as the Detroit Photographic pieces, there detail is there and the colours are most decent for a softly toned image.

Actually, I'm fairly upset. I wrote a big, inspirational piece on being careful with what you say and do this coming new year (using examples from my own life where I've tried to kill myself and have often self-harmed due to people's words and actions) and my computer froze up and destroyed all my work I had just finished typing for C.W. Like, I've actually been upset for a day and a half now, but this has really set me off and I'm about to cry.
