Manufactured by General Electric, this model 8B06 "Budgeteer", is in a beautiful mahogany case in working condition, the movement itself is silent and keeps great time and has a small light for darker rooms like GE's "Executive" Model. Originally sold for $12.50 which in 1936 was a third to half of a week’s pay for many.
The original literature states "A new, deluxe Cyclometer model in a richly finished matched wood case of simple, tasteful design. The dial is illuminated with a tiny MAZADA lamp A polished brass escutcheon sets off an ivory dial with large black Arabic numerals". Designed by John F. Rainbault.
Cord and plug in excellent condition. Beautiful graining on the wood veneers with a great shine. There are no chips, cracks or other issues with this clock. The case would however benefit from a good tongue oiling. Size is 9" wide x 4 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" deep. Has the red eye power interuption indicator with a lever to reset it.
