Police Law by C.C.H Moriarty, C.B.E, LLD, Chief Constable of Birmingham. Sixth edition 1939. By Butterworth & Co Ltd Bell Yard London.
This book was owned by a British Policeman who has signed the outer edges of the pages see photo. He has also marked pages of interest, signed the inner page see photo and had his colleagues sign the two last back pages.
The book is well used by this serving Police officer, his name J W Howells who served in the Birmingham City Police.
Being.a fan of Sherlock Holmes I was intrigued to find it written by a Moriarty who obviously was on the right side of the law!
Book is in readable condition and well used. I thought it was interesting enough look at social history and I hope get the link between law and Moriarty!
