These are two press cut glass punch bowls. I got the first bowl at a sale for $5. I then found the huge tray it sits on at a thrift store. These two patterns do not match. Then I got the other bowl with stand and they do match. Does anyone recognize the two patterns of the bowls. One has a shell in star. Also when we're these made? The last pic shows ruler so you can see size. Thanks for looking

the large under plate is commonly known as the 'Slewed Horseshoe' pattern; the pattern was originally made in 1908 by U.S. Glass Co. The pattern has been reproduced as "Pinwheel & Stars" by Smith Glass in recent years; the plate here is most likely by Smith.
the large bowl in the on the plate in the first image is Duncan and Miller Glass #63 "Homestead" c1904.
the punch bowl and stand are McKee Bros. "Nortec" pattern c1904; some forms of this pattern have also been reproduced by Smith Glass but I don't think the punch set was.

Very nice pieces... While I was looking at the pics, I immediately thought of Tallcakes, I figured he'd know. Then I look down on your comments and there he was... beat me to it LOL. Being that he was able to provide so much information, you must be thrilled and realize that $5 was a steal!

Thank you so much Tallcakes and Rick55!! Yes, I was surprised when I saw the first one $5, I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't marked $50. I will be keeping these and hopefully use at my daughters wedding in the future!!
