By shear coincidence, and following on directly from Warren's previous post....
I have recently read the wonderfully informative article by Dr. Kai Hasselbach on Loetz cut glass on Loetz.com. And within a week or so I had picked up this lovely ruby cut glass bowl. I was drawn initially to the classically recognizable Loetz shape seen on many tango deco Loetz pieces pieces of this era and immediately reverted to the article on Loetz.com where I positively identified it. Probably the simplest cut glass Loetz bowl one could expect to find, but no less beautiful for it.

      Hi,
      Help and clarification needed, please.
Dr. K. M. Hasselbach included my bowl into his excellent article.
      Link to his article:
      http://www.loetz.com/featured-articles/a-study-of-loetz-cut-glass-production
      Link to my bowl:
      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/23025-bohemian-cameo-bowl
      The quote from the article:
      ``The bowl 7.03 PN=III/2410 (1925) repeats the décor of 7.02 on clear glass. ``
Is it a typo? My bowl is 7.02 A and 7.03 is Kralik vase.
I think the sentence should be like this:
      ``The bowl 7.02 A PN=III/2410 (1925) repeats the décor of 7.02 on clear glass. ``
      Do you agree ?
      Thank you very much.

It must be a typo Ivan - I'm sure Kai will confirm that.

Never mind, will not bother him with this. So, it`s Muster PN=III/2410 (9``) ? Various widths were executed, right ?

I just became aware of Loetz cut glass after seeing Warren's post Phil. Yours is a gorgeous example as dark amethyst is my favorite color of German cut crystal!

Thank you. It's a whole new area for me too Rick!

      Hi Ivan49,

thank you very much for your kind hint on my mistake of interchanging 7.02 and 7.03 in my article, I will update accordingly. I'm very thankful for each kind of improvements, corrections and comments, in any case, you wouldn't have bothered me at all. I'm glad, that this article raised some more interest into Loetz cut glass and hope there will be more advance in knowledge about it in the near future.

      Hello Kai,
I am happy to hear from you. Have tried to reach you via an old e-mail address. Now that you have answered here just forget my e-mail. In regard of your article, it is more than obvious a real scientist wrote it, I mean methodology and everything. Thank you.

Oh my goodness Phil - what an amazing piece. The very deep red, the feet, and the gorgeous pattern of berries and seed heads - I am in love with this one.
