We found this at an estate sale a while back of a wealthy family. I think that a family member said that it was from Germany. This is a very long and heavy plaque. This pace is just over 2 feet tall and about 6 inches wide. There is writing on the back but I do not know the meaning. Any ideas?

The writing looks Italian to me. I changed the contrast on the second photo as the one here is much too light.
Looks like "pirro praro" but that doesn't make any sort of sense.
To me it looks like pizzo prazo, but I might be wrong. Pizzo is a protection money paid to mafia.
