The Biggest Hat I Have Ever Seen On A Vintage 1898 photo for A Little Girl. --Wonderful Ermine (?) Muff and Great High Button Shoes, I love this photo. And look at that adorable little sis in her baby finery. Sitting on the wooden front steps-- interesting OUTDOOR PHOTO!

This was a wealthy family I would say :-) but photo is so cute and have to love the clothes of the era !

Her shoes look SO TIGHT! Rabbit fur muff. I had several! (I'm NOT that old) the black parts were black rabbit toes...

      This was most likely Easter.

I think it is a cement stoop. Look at the crack behind the baby.

I can't tell about the stoop. my eyes won't let me see where you are looking. Thanks for your comments and I agree about the shoes--not very comfortable!! Eeek!

Precious! I wonder what those two were thinking by the looks on their faces!

Maybe they never saw a camera before. This is an old outdoor photo, and possibly by a traveling photographer--a stranger so maybe they were a little frightened by him and his big box pointed right at them?
